GVRL

1.I have not used GVRL before, so this was a new experience.  I looked at the book DRUGS AND CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS.  I was interested in information about heroin because I know that our book in the library is very outdated.  When a student recently checked our book out, I commented on how old it was.  If that happens in the future, I may recommend that the student use the resource available through GVRL.

2.  I couldn't get an article to read to me.  Help?

  1. Hey, I just saw your request for help regarding how to listen to the text. There is a tab at the top of the page that says "listen." So, you click on it, but the confusing thing is that some things I clicked on started the audio right away, but others took a long time. I had given up on one and started doing something else, when all of a sudden the audio finally started working. Maybe it depends on how long the selection is that we are attempting to listen to.?.

  2. Thanks for jumping in with help, here, Clueless. Yes, the speed of the internet and size of the file will determine how quickly your audio will load. M, please try again! Caution: the GVRL titles are not extremely new, either, so do check the copyrights. This is because the State Library purchased these titles several years ago and has not had funding to purchase the new editions.
